Job Description

Shangri-La Chiang Mai is looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Engineering Department in maintaining the hotels facilities and systems to the highest standard. This position is under local employment terms and requires a strong commitment to Shangri-Las service and safety standards.

Key Responsibilites

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily operation and administration of the Engineering Department.

  • Supervise the maintenance repair and troubleshooting of all hotel systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety equipment.

  • Ensure that all engineering operations strictly follow Shangri-La standards safety regulations and legal compliance.

  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure guest comfort and equipment reliability.

  • Support energy conservation efforts and sustainability initiatives in accordance with company policies.

  • Lead and coach engineering team members with a focus on safety service and efficiency.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and effective engineering support.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and emergency calls with professionalism and care.
