Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworker with specialist skills in internal and external drainage to join our team.
As a Drainage Groundworker youll play a vital role in the installation and testing of internal and external drainage systems on residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and working from construction drawings and drainage layouts
Installing clay concrete and plastic pipes of all sizes
Using pipe lasers to set accurate levels and alignment
Ensuring correct bedding and surround materials are used
Installing manholes gully traps and connection points
Benching and finishing manholes to a high standard
Working around live services safely using avoidance techniques
Managing ground water using appropriate pump systems
Conducting or supporting pipe testing where required
Supporting backfill and reinstatement as required
What We Expect:
Experience in groundworks drainage
Experience in both internal and external drainage installation
Valid CSCS card
Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operation are a bonus (e.g. dumper roller)
Experience in working as part of a drainage gang/team
Reliability and punctuality
Ability to work well with others and support site deadlines
Legal right to work in the UK
