Were looking for an Underwriting Analyst to join our this role you are responsible for providing knowledgeable & effective medical underwriting risk assessment for the purpose of providing group life and health coverage to plan members and their dependents.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of underwriting process retention and generic inbox to ensure items are processed or direct work to team members based on geographic assignment.
Accountable for efficiently and effectively responding to Requests to Quotes from our Advisor community.
Responsible to ensure Requests for Quotes are quoted correctly agreed upon Discretionary Spending Account is applied correctly and proposal packages are created and sent back to advisors within the published turnaround time.
Required Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience as a medical underwriter with knowledge of medical terminology or relevant experience in the healthcare field.
A bachelors degree in a medical or healthcare-related field or an equivalent combination of education additional certification and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
With strong knowledge and expertise in insurance and/or underwriting.
Good written skills and good verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to comprehend and act on presented customer concern or problem
Strong customer service skills (ability to build rapport demonstrate empathy and outline key steps in delivering good customer service)
