Job Description
As Instructors of Record Graduate Assistant Instructors will function as auxiliary teaching staff and are employed to teach courses scheduled at the undergraduate level. (For additional requirements associated with teaching assignments see the UTRGV Faculty Teaching Qualifications Policy.) The maximum number of teaching hours for a semester is six (6) and the maximum amount of time allowed for assigned duties is twenty (20) hours per week. Discipline-specific required and preferred qualifications are determined by the hiring department. Minimum Qualifications: Must be admitted & enrolled to UTRGV graduate degree program in Exercise Science Be in good academic standing with a 4.0 GPA . Must hold a bachelors degree in exercise science with a minimum of 18 hours in an MS program. Must be registered full-time for the respective semester (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate and graduate research experience in exercise science.
