Who are we looking for
Were looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our global team of experts within a large and well-established international consultancy giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work project management and client relationships.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Structural design of buildings along with inspections assessments and reporting.
- Working collaboratively with architects project managers building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
- Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Working as part of a team on projects from conception through to final design and construction surveillance.
- Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture.
What you will bring to the team:
- A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 8-12 years industry experience as a Structural Engineer with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
- Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
- Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
- Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
