Procurement Analyst

Summary of Role:

The Procurement Analyst will play a strategic role in shaping the way we use data to drive smarter decision-making supplier performance and enterprise value. This individual will go beyond traditional reporting proactively uncovering trends identify risks and opportunities and deliver compelling insights that influence sourcing strategies and supplier addition to their core responsibilities the Procurement Analyst will develop and create engaging PowerPoint slide decks for Procurement presentations to senior leadership. The Procurement Analyst will contribute to the success of our procurement team and drive continuous improvement across the function while advancing your professional development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Spend Analytics & Opportunity Identification
  • Analyze enterprise-wide spend using Excel Power BI internal finance supported reporting tools and SpendHQ to report spend trends suppliers savings and compliance gaps.
  • Design build and maintain advanced dashboards and visualizations in PowerBI to monitor spend supplier performance and savings among other key metrics to display the value of procurement.
  • Proactively identify and communicate procurement opportunities by identifying emerging trends risks and optimization strategies based on data reporting results.
  • Bring new ideas tools and approaches for extracting greater insight from existing data. Evaluate and implement new technologies and data sources that enhance procurement intelligence.
• Strategic Sourcing & Contracts
  • Assist category leads with supplier selection RFx execution bid analysis and contract pricing evaluations. Provide analytical support during supplier negotiations and ensure value delivery is tracked post-award.
  • Benchmark pricing capabilities and trends in pharmaceutical services categories.
  • Validate savings methodologies (e.g. TCO baseline comparisons) and ensure accurate reporting of realized savings.
  • Collaborate with Procurement colleagues Legal Finance and Compliance during sourcing and contract processes.
• Vendor Performance & Risk Management
  • Develop maintain and report vendor scorecards across key KPIs (on-time delivery quality service levels).
  • Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with critical suppliers and identify performance improvement actions.
• Process & Policy Support
  • Contribute to procurement process improvement projects and system enhancements.
  • Assist with procurement policy adherence SOP documentation and procurement governance reporting.
  • Provide backup support to the Procurement Coordinator with PR approvals new vendor onboarding vendor master updates as needed.
  • Work with procurement category leads and business partners on RFPs data requests and special projects.
• Diversity & Regulatory Reporting
  • Track small business and diverse vendor spend in compliance with VA subcontracting and supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Support the ongoing development and reporting of supplier diversity programs.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management business administration finance economics operations management industrial engineering data analytics business analytics or international business required.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain analytics.
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical biotech or healthcare industry highly preferred.
• Familiarity with suppliers in CROs commercial agencies lab services and operational vendors a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables advanced formulas data modeling).
• Proven experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with SpendHQ or other spend analysis platforms (e.g. Coupa Analytics Jaggaer Ariba).
• Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa Workday or Dynamics 365.

• Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work
• May require up to 10% domestic and international travel

The anticipated salary for this position will be $80000 to $105000. The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience skill set qualifications education (including applicable licenses and certifications job-based knowledge location and other business and organizational needs.
