Assistant Athletic Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience and training in safety accident injury prevention and CPR.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as an effective organizer and supervisor.
  • Five years of experience as a teacher.
  • Hold and maintain a license as a teacher in Massachusetts.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be responsible to the Principal in all matters pertaining to athletics.
  • To assist the Athletic Director in managing all of his/her responsib
  • To work with AD to make all necessary arrangements for all home games such as police custodians timer-scorer ticket takers and sellers and other personnel as needed.
  • To be responsible for the requisition disbursement collection inventory and storage of athletic equipment i11the field house.
  • To assist the Athletic Director in supervising all home
  • To keep abreast of all eligibility rules as outlined by the MIAA and to verify the eligibility of all
  • To assist the Principal and AD in the hiring of all
  • To report to the Athletic Director and Principal regarding coaches practices general conduct and assistant coaches during their
  • To prepare specifications and secure services of athletic trainers
  • Must successfully complete Coaches Training Course and provide documentation once hired
  • Must successfully complete Concussion Training Course and provide documentation once hired.
  • Provide school nurses with complete team rosters at the start of each season update promptly when changes occur review monthly and share any additional health information as needed.
  • Review and keep accessible Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and MBHERP protocols ensure all responsible staff are trained and signed off and maintain AED and CPR/First Aid records
  • Share physical exam records with nurses to avoid duplicate requests and maintain all required health/safety documentation.
  • Complete all required trainings (life-threatening allergies & epinephrine Stop the Bleed seizure precautions health/wellness annual concussion training) maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification and report expiration dates yearly.
  • All other duties that may be assigned by the Principal Athletic Director or Assistant Director of Curriculum for Health and Physical Education

REPORTS TO:Principal and Athletic Director

An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical including a drug test National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC) and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).
