Job Description
Trimax Mowing Systems is a family-owned business that designs develops manufactures and distributes tractor-powered roller mower and flail mowing headquarters and design center are located in Tauranga NZ and we have manufacturing facilities in NZ the UK the US and Australia.
We are a company who pride ourselves on being world leaders in commercial mowing equipment. We believe in continuous innovation and working at the forefront of technology to deliver solutions to our customers that seek to push the boundaries of what is possible in our industry.
To keep pace with substantial business growth we are looking to expand our technical teams and currently we are looking for an experienced software developer.
The Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and implementing software solutions that integrate with our mechanical and electronic systems.
Making use of our development facility and wider design team you will interact with test apparatus physical prototypes and production products as you work to create comprehensive end-to-end solutions. You must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to lead the design of software systems and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional product this position you will be working directly with a team of engineers and internal stakeholders so it is essential that you have well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded firmware to control bespoke onboard electronic systems
- Take a collaborative approach to front end application interfacing
- Connect with various I/O to monitor control analyse and predict various aspects of the mowing equipment
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to software and electronic systems
- Troubleshoot new and existing products
- Investigate opportunities for improvement through the Trimax continuous improvement system.
Role Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to deliver a physical solution to an engineering challenge using intelligent software design
- Practical hands-on approach with software to hardware integration
- Ability to develop code in C C JavaScript
- Knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Familiarity with software development tools and platforms ie GIT
- Experience working with wired and wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth BLE WIFI RS485 CANBUS
- Practical hands-on approach with software to hardware integration
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of common spreadsheet and word processing software
