Love a good spreadsheet Thrive on ticking off to-dos The Beautification Trust needs a Community Administrator who keeps the wheels turning. From school events to community clean-ups your organisational skills will help projects shine. Youll work with suppliers schools and local whaanau making sure everything runs smoothly. If youve got admin skills outstanding communication skills and a heart for the community this is your moment. Join us and bring your magic to the kaupapa.

This is a unique opportunity for someone looking for a permanent role to inspire South Auckland communities to come together to safeguard our shared environment. This position is for full-time employment 40 hours per week.

About the role

Were looking for a confident organised and focused team player who is systems orientated. Your day-to-day responsibilities would be varied and include:

  • Coordinating behind-the-scenes logistics for community events like Wearable Arts and Eye on Nature.
  • Supporting local schools kura and community groups with environmental education initiatives.
  • Managing supplier bookings equipment lists and keeping our project data tidy in our database.
  • Helping process funding applications and supporting community-led projects through the Tiaki Fund.
  • Sharing positive stories with our marketing team to spread the word about the amazing mahi happening in our neighbourhoods.

About you

As a valued member of our team you care deeply about helping people connect with their community and environment in meaningful ways. You bring a kind approach clear communication and strong admin skills to your mahi. Youre confident using digital systems thrive in busy environments and know how to keep things running smoothly. Most importantly youre someone who shows manaakitanga making others feel welcomed supported and heard.

Youll bring the following strengths:

  • Organised and calm even when juggling multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft 365 (Outlook Teams Word Excel SharePoint PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • Experience with tools like Xero WIX Airtable ASANA Canva Mapme My Maps or GeoMaps is a big plus
  • Warm and helpful youll often be the first point of contact for community enquiries
  • A positive can-do attitude and care for the community
  • Full drivers licence to use Trust vehicles when needed
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends for events or activations
