The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the President & CEO and is responsible for strategic growth & development and sales administration.
**Please note this is a temporary one-year contract position to provide maternity leave coverage**
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy:
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information at all times.
- Drive leadership team meetings holding the team accountable to deliverables recording minutes and preparing materials for review. Includes annual strategic business plan development and annual budget review.
- Execute departmental business plan in line with strategic company-wide goals
- Strategize and develop initiatives to drive both stability and growth of functions within the organization as outlined in the fiscal business plan and budget.
- Foster stakeholder relations and engagement. Organize stakeholder appreciation events and external events related to clients trades and appropriate partners.
- Work alongside President & CEO to coordinate corporate sponsorships and charitable donation requests based on the companys core values and budget.
- Manage communications and scheduling on behalf of the President & CEO including emails calls correspondence reports internal memos calendar management and appointments.
Sales:
- Process and format documents and presentations.
- Support sales meetings including taking minutes appendices and distributing promptly to team.
- Prepare RFP proposals/tender bids as required. Work alongside project management team to meet bidding deadlines.
- Assist with sales activities including coordinating meetings managing follow-ups and facilitating introductions under the direction of the President & CEO.
- Coordinate follow-up meetings with prospective clients to review outcomes during bid process.
Marketing:
- Provide guidance context feedback and approvals to the Marketing Consultant for blog articles website updates and social media posts.
- Coordinate visual content including scheduling and managing photo and video shoots.
- Work with project managers and operations to ensure marketing initiatives align with real-time project timelines and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 years experience as executive assistant or administrative role
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven experience & knowledge of business development.
Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with strong multitasking abilities and a solution-focused mindset.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability of strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook Teams Planner) with strong formatting & document creation skills.
Marketing experience considered an asset.
Experience with construction project workflows considered an asset.
Additional Requirements
Must have and maintain a valid Class 5 license with clean driving record.
Eligible to legally work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
Must live in the Bow Valley or able to commute to office on daily basis.
Compensation & Benefits
Remuneration based on experience starting at $75000/year.
