Bachelors degree or diploma program (in a relevant discipline) and/or related field experience combined with specialized knowledge as it relates to legislative proceedings and terminology and Hansard production techniques is required. An acceptable combination of training and experience may be considered. The successful candidate must be non-partisan.

They must have excellent management skills and techniques (e.g. planning organizing integrating directing and controlling) and the ability to apply them; excellent leadership skills and interpersonal abilities judgement tact and diplomacy. Must have exceptional understanding of English; and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in document editing and production/transcription techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly MS Word is required. The successful candidate must be able to exercise considerable initiative and have the ability to work in a high stress environment while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.

Experience working in a parliamentary environment and familiarity with Legislative procedures and terminology as well as supervisory experience would be considered an asset. Knowledge of SLIQ html and webediting techniques and web/digital publishing would also be considered an asset. While French is not required bilingualism is an asset.

Pay Grade: EC 10

Salary Range: $3108.16- $3885.22Bi-Weekly
