SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) is seeking a Multimedia Digital Design Associate who can record and produce short-form videos and animated graphics for use on social media and web; create visually appealing and dynamic infographics data visualizations and charts; and assist in creating marketing collateral and assets. This person has knowledge of design principles video and multimedia design experience and can create assets for different platforms and social channels. They will also have experience in creating marketing collateral and designing assets with a high-end look and feel within an extensive corporate brand. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Contributes to the design of multi-channel projects from start to finish including ideation brief creation storyboarding and final execution under the Art Directors guidance and supervision.
- Works with other members of the design team to create interactive and animated assets for use in social media web and video that highlight NACD campaigns events thought leadership and initiatives.
- Co-creates dynamic and responsive infographics graphs charts and data visualizations for web (mobile and desktop) social media and print.
- Collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional partners such as Storytelling Digital Experience Events Content Development and Marketing to produce on-brand design assets that support business objectives and marketing goals.
- Applies a basic knowledge of UX and customer experience (CX) design principles to wireframe landing pages web pages and HTML emails that enhance the member experience and optimize user engagement.
- Attends regular meetings and sprint planning meetings with the Digital Experience team.
- Occasionally works with external agencies and vendors (design photography video etc.) to ensure the successful execution of design projects print production and website development.
- Applies a thorough understanding of our target audience and market trends to create designs that resonate with NACD stakeholders and drive engagement.
- Helps to implement organization-wide use of the NACD brand and assists in ensuring that all assets and components are within NACD Brand Guidelines.
- Supports the in-house Brand team with the creation of other marketing projects and deliverables such as static social graphics ads and marketing collateral as needed.
- Helps to coordinate and review projects and other job-related duties as requested in the Art Directors absence.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS - 3-5 years experience in Web design User Experience design and animation
- Experience in UX/UI design
- Knowledgeable in design for accessibility and 508 compliance for accessibility.
- Bachelors degree in art design or related field.
- Technical experience that includes:
- After Effects PremierePro and other video editing software or tools.
- Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop
- Figma XD HTML and CSS. JavaScript a plus.
- Content management systems such as Optimizely
- Canva and PowerBi experience
- Thorough understanding of design principles typography color theory and layout design.
- Able to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects.
- Artistic with a keen eye for aesthetics and visually appealing content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline driven and ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Experience creating data visualizations charts graphs and infographics.
- Experience working within corporate brand standards.
