Job Description

The Senior Training Specialist (Industrial/Environmental Safety) is an advanced journey level position responsible for the design development and delivery of comprehensive industrial and/or environmental health and safety this role you will serve as the subject matter expert utilizing initiative resourcefulness and strategic thinking to expand upon traditional methods research trends and patterns to develop new methods criteria and/or propose new policies. Additional responsibilities include interpreting complex data planning and prioritizing work and refining methods and techniques to improve training outcomes. Your work will use established criteria to formulate projects assess program effectiveness and address a wide variety of unique conditions problems or questions.

This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this classification / job.

Schedule: 4-10 (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm)

Hybrid:Metropolitans current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational addition a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Associates degree and four years of occupational experience in the subject matter area to be taught; or six years of occupational experience journeymans certificate in the subject matter area to be taught and completion of at least eighteen semester units of degree applicable college level course work in addition to apprenticeship credits; or two years as a Training Specialist.


Subject matter area is defined as: Experience developing curriculum and presenting training within the industrial safety field and/or experience in the environmental field.
