At FAPS Inc. the Volvo technician is responsible for the daily operations of repairing and servicing of the vehicles.
Essential Duties:
- Perform manufacturer required maintenance on vehicles.
- Observe all safety precautions when driving vehicles to and from work area.
- Perform maintenance checks outside.
- Drive vehicles needing batteries charged to charging area.
- Connect/ Disconnect battery to battery charger in a safe manner.
- Assist team members to assure quality is maintained during maintenance checks.
- Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- SHIFT:MondayFriday 7:00am3:30pm with possibility of overtime and/or weekend work as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High Scholl Diploma or GED
- Valid US Drivers License
- Obtain and maintain a Port Access card issued by the NJ State Police
- Drive both automatic and standard vehicles
- Must complete required Volvo technical and non-technical training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven problem-solving abilities
- Deadline and detail oriented
Physical Attributes:
- Lift push and or pull up to 50lbs including maneuvering of 30lb compressor
- Stand bend and or kneel throughout shift
- Work in confined spaces / congested quarters
- Work exposed to outdoor elements such as heat cold rain and or any other conditions out of doors
