Job Summary

At FAPS Inc. the Volvo technician is responsible for the daily operations of repairing and servicing of the vehicles.

Essential Duties:

Perform manufacturer required maintenance on vehicles.
Observe all safety precautions when driving vehicles to and from work area.
Perform maintenance checks outside.
Drive vehicles needing batteries charged to charging area.
Connect/ Disconnect battery to battery charger in a safe manner.
Assist team members to assure quality is maintained during maintenance checks.
Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SHIFT:MondayFriday 7:00am3:30pm with possibility of overtime and/or weekend work as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

High Scholl Diploma or GED
Valid US Drivers License
Obtain and maintain a Port Access card issued by the NJ State Police
Drive both automatic and standard vehicles
Must complete required Volvo technical and non-technical training

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Proven problem-solving abilities
Deadline and detail oriented

Physical Attributes:

Lift push and or pull up to 50lbs including maneuvering of 30lb compressor
Stand bend and or kneel throughout shift
Work in confined spaces / congested quarters
Work exposed to outdoor elements such as heat cold rain and or any other conditions out of doors
