Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Medicine School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 532812)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for laboratory and research project supervision
- Oversee the daily administrative and managerial responsibilities of research laboratory
- Perform data analysis assist in preparing scientific publications grant proposals and reports
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Supervise postgraduate research student and junior research team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree in Medical Sciences Biological Sciences or a related discipline and at least 3 years working experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow
- Experience in molecular biology animal experiments and immune-related experiments
- Excellent organizational writing and verbal communication skills in English Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese
- Self-motivated highly committedand be able to work independently as well as collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Work experience in research related to metabolic-associated fatty liver disease chronic hepatitis B and the gut microbiome will be an advantage
- Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Research Officer
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer and 15% for Research Officer. Housing benefits will also be provided to Research Officer as applicable. Other benefits include annual leave medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
