Project Title: Two-Sample Test for High-Dimensional Covariance Matrices RI 4/22 ZTM
Project Introduction: With the rapid development in data collection and storage techniques vast amounts of information are recorded and stored for analytical purposes. However due to limited resources available to replicate study objects we usually only have a few this situation the data dimension p is close to or even much larger than the total sample size n. We refer to such large p small n data as high-dimensional data. An enduring interest in statistics is to compare the covariance matrices of two high-dimensional populations since many statistical procedures rely on the fundamental assumption of equal covariance matrix. The problem of comparing the covariance matrices of two high-dimensional populations is not new but many of the existing methods have size-controlling this project we shall study these issues thoroughly and propose some new and innovative approaches to overcome these issues.
