About the Role

  • Hospital small enough to give you hands-on specialist-led experience yet big enough to learn through an internationally renowned research partnership your career opportunities are limitless
  • Working in a close-knit team you will have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital
  • You will be exposed to several medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles

You will have continued support in your professional development through 24/7 access to the library weekly teaching and Grand Rounds journal clubs and regular RMO forums. Following that and depending on your interest we have a number of runs available for you to work in. These include:

  • General Surgery
  • Orthopaedics
  • General Medicine
  • Psychiatry
  • AT&R
  • Relievers
  • ED (6 month run)
  • Paediatrics (6 month run)
  • O&G (6 month run)

If your interest lies in the specialties that are 6 months in length please indicate your preferences in your cover letter. If we dont hear from you we will assume you are applying for a general role.

This role belongs to the New Zealand Resident Doctors Association and Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) Collective Agreement and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand (STONZ) and Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) Collective Agreement
