The opportunity:
Hitachi Energys Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact. We incorporate the integrated systems solutions and services of our business DC and AC fields including HVDC Substations FACTS Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system such as renewables transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.
Act as business partner to the Operation Manager and Project Managers responsible for all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the projects performance. Assigned to multiple projects.
How youll make an impact:
As part of an overall Project Execution Plan you will involve in covering all financial commercial and tax aspects such as revenue recognition methods billing plan payment securities GST and other indirect taxes consortium administration etc. support project invoicing and liquidation of outstanding manage currency risk tax issues bonds guarantees coordinate for financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting).
You will drive and seek optimization of project cash flow revenues and gross margin contribution together with Project Managers involve in preparation of various Financial MIS and circulation to team (upstream towards the management and downstream towards PM/APM/Site Team and various functions) to make the team aware of the financial performance and desired actions to maintain healthy project financials.
You will establish project governance process participate in opportunity/risk identification ensure that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented drive co-ordinate and prepare monthly project reviews jointly with the Project Manager. You will review and have joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all financial aspects of the project including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete forecasting Revenues and Cash in Cash out.
You will drive implementation of actions to reach the forecast drive problem solving activity to ease the bottleneck and Risks opportunities assessment and ensure alignment with other functions including Project Controls planning/scheduling and provide early warning and update on the same.
You will take responsibility for timely Review and Updating Project review Templates/materials for onward review with LOU / HBL/BL updating Promis report for the projects on a monthly basis. You will promote commercial awareness in the project team and provide commercial input to the project execution plan (such as T&Cs in supply management claims back-to-back conditions) drive claim management back-charges insurance cases and monitors the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager/Project Manager upstream (towards customer) as well as downstream (towards suppliers).
You will do follows up on internal project audit reports and ensures timely implementation of all required actions related to projects under responsibility responsible for adherence to corporate governance integrity assurance internal control group charter business specific directives and instructions and drive setup and closure of all taxation matters pending against projects along with project manager and responsible to close all taxation documentation of projects.

Your background:
You hold a bachelors degree on accounting/finance.
More than 6 years of Project business controlling experience.
Expert knowledge of IFRS USGAAP standard accounting.
Leadership skill to manage different cultures and cross function leads.
Possesses excellent interpersonal communication problem-solving skills and capable of working effectively under own initiative.
