About the Role:
We are seeking a Pension Software Testing Analyst to support internal systems by developing and executing testing plans for the pension administration and related systems. The Analyst will assist the Senior Pension System Testing Analysts for reviewing requirements for all modifications to the system providing input on the requirements and subsequently developing plans to test any pension system modifications that arise because of the requirements. The Analyst will document promotion procedures and provides test results to management.
As the Newest Member of our Team Youll:
Review defects and other requests from the CAAT ticketing system and works with the Senior Pension System Testing Analysts and Team lead in determining the impact of the request on the pension system.
Help design and document the architecture of the testing environment including the maintenance schedule data refreshes as well as software updates.
Test all defects and enhancements to the pension administration system including interfaces to external systems.
Maintain the regression test bed and creates new test cases for various pension system modifications.
Provide training support to staff on changes that have been promoted to the production system.
Work closely with developers either CAAT staff CPAS or contract to help articulate requirements and test all updates as they are delivered.
Execute automated methods for testing the various functions of the pension system at all tiers. Use automated testing software where possible for database tests web application tests as well as Cognos tests.
Maintain a comprehensive automated regression test plan for the core activities in the pension system such as Active Member Annual Statements Retired Member & Surviving Spouse Statements Cost of Living Adjustment calculations Highest Average Pensionable Earnings calculation Termination Retirement and Death benefit calculations LTD PA/T4A calculations as well as the complexities introduced by multi-employer concurrent employment and deferred benefit calculations RIF LIF among others.
Maintain the production copies of all Cognos letters and forms and maintaining version control for changes done by CAAT or externally.
To Succeed You Bring:
Minimum of a College Diploma with requisite experience in software testing environments.
Five (5) or more years of experience working with pension or benefit data defined contribution or defined benefit plans good comprehension of pension calculations is strongly desired.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
