Job Description

The Brand-New Hyatt Place Hotel in Post Falls Idaho is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Chief Engineer. We are hiring now to open the hotel Winter 2025!

Summary of position: This position is responsible for the management planning and execution of the daily activities associated with Maintenance Department activities. This includes but is not limited to all mechanical electrical HVAC systems and related equipment with particular attention to safety guest satisfaction security asset protection and maintaining standards as required. This position is also expected to supervise the day-to-day operations recommend and implement procedural changes and monitor and control expenses

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred

2 years maintenance/facility management experience and/or 2 years hotel supervisory experience preferred.

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills communication skills and problem-solving skills

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word Excel
Power Point SharePoint HRIS and Payroll functionality are required.

Comprehensive knowledge of facility management trades and practices with basic knowledge/understanding of hotel equipment; cleaning chemicals and compounds; proper methods of cleaning/maintaining linens carpets draperies wood marble ceramic tile vinyl tile porcelain and other hard surfaces on the job.

Comprehensive knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing carpentry HVAC electrical and mechanical work and painting.
