Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on the legal implications of Prudential Thailands strategy and execution and legal risks of business operations and ensure compliance with corporate regulatory matters.
  • Review agreements contracts and other legal documents to ensure Prudential Thailands legal rights are protected.
  • Prepare quarterly Board meeting agendas Board papers pertaining to governance matters and meeting minutes and upload Board and committee papers on Diligent.
  • Undertake the company secretarial and records management function.
  • Develop and maintain governance policies.
  • Where appropriate manage litigation including insurance related claims contractual disputes and employment issues in conjunction with external advisers if required.
  • Maintain a constructive relationship with the companys regulator(s) managing regulatory inspection visits etc.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a corporate or commercial lawyer in a major law firm and/or commercial in-house environment with at least 10 years experience in Senior Management
  • Experience in Life insurance is beneficial but not essential to performing this role
  • Company secretarial and legal knowledge in meeting procedures creating and setting agendas preparing governance papers and drafting minutes
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively on legal matters applying a commercial perspective
