To support our growth we are looking for a:
Start-Up Engineer
In this role you will play a critical part in the commissioning and optimization of water treatment plants worldwide. Your expertise will ensure the smooth start-up and performance of Ultrafiltration (UF) Reverse Osmosis (RO) Ion Exchange (IEX) Activated Carbon Filtration (ACF) and other advanced treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the start-up and commissioning of water treatment plants ensuring systems operate efficiently and meet design specifications.
- Perform functional testing troubleshooting and performance validation of membrane technologies (UF RO IEX ACF etc.).
- Work closely with project managers engineers and clients to optimize plant performance and resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate with SCADA and automation teams to ensure seamless integration and monitoring of water treatment processes.
- Provide on-site training for plant operators and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
- Document all commissioning activities including testing reports operational manuals and best practices.
- Travel internationally (40-50% of the time with assignments of up to 2 months) to various project sites for plant start-up and of spending the first 6-12 months in Dublin.
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree in Engineering Environmental Science or a related field.
- Experience in water treatment technologies such as UF RO and IEX is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of membrane filtration systems and water purification processes.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial water treatment plants is a plus.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial automation is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French or Dutch is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work internationally for extended periods.
