Job Summary

The post holder will be based in the Eye Clinic St. Conals Hospital Letterkenny. The Consultant will work in close collaboration with Ophthalmology Consultant colleagues in the Regional Ophthalmic Unit in Sligo University post holder will deliver OPD clinics and injection lists in . The intravitreal injections will be delivered from the Radiology lnterventional Suite in LUH/Day Services Theatre (until a suitable location In St Conals Hospital is available) and OPD clinics from specialist ophthalmology suites in Primary Care Centers across the county.

Clinics will include:

Medical Retinal
Paediatric
Glaucoma
Diabetic
Minor Surgery
Emergency
Neurology
Auto Immune

Contract: 12 month Specified Purpose Contract or until the post if filled on a permanent basis (Permanent post to be advertised by PAS)

Eligibility Criteria: Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Ophthalmology.
