Quality and Innovation Lead

Location: Cross College/Chippenham Wiltshire

Salary: 40476 per annum (Professional Services Grade 13)

Job Type: Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a visionaryQuality and Innovation Leadto champion outstanding teaching learning and assessment across our curriculum. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the educational experience of thousands of studentsworking at the heart of our drive for continuous improvement.

As Quality and Innovation Lead you will be a key change agent working closely with curriculum managers and staff across all departments to foster a high-performance culture rooted in aspiration innovation and educational excellence. You will support colleagues in embedding effective evidence-informed teaching strategies and empower staff through coaching professional development and collaboration.

You will also be a key partner to the Director of Teaching Learning and Assessment in embedding impactful quality assurance processes and driving improvements aligned with Ofsteds regulatory frameworks.

Quality and Innovation Lead Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire:Embed a culture of excellence in teaching and learning across all curriculum areas.
  • Coach and empower:Use coaching and reflective practices to support staff in improving teaching strategies and student outcomes.
  • Support and influence:Collaborate with Systems and Innovation Lead Learning Technologies to elevate digital learning practices.
  • Assure and improve:Drive robust quality assurance supporting improved teaching learning and assessment aligned with sector regulatory frameworks.
  • Build relationships:Be the trusted expert support function for curriculum teams across the College.
  • Teach and model excellence:Contribute to delivery on curriculum or Initial Teacher Education programmes modelling high-quality planning and teaching.
  • Track and impact:Monitor student progress and attainment across the College supporting data-driven improvements.
  • Develop culture:Promote openness curiosity and ambition in curriculum teams through learning walks observations and targeted interventions.

Quality and Innovation Lead You:

Were looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record in teaching coaching or staff development within Further or Higher Education.
  • Expertise in learning and teaching strategies and quality improvement.
  • A deep understanding of relevant sector regulatory frameworks particularly Ofsted.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for innovation in education and a commitment to student success.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • A Diploma in Teaching and Learning or an equivalent teaching qualification.
