Job Summary

As an HR Business Partner youll play a vital role in supporting a growing team of engineers and support professionals who are designing sustainable efficient solutions to move people and goods from point A to point Bredefining whats possible in air mobility.

Nidec is the worlds leading electric motor manufacturer and a true pioneer in electrification across a wide array of industries since its foundation in 1973 ranging from appliance and energy infrastructure to ground transportation. Nidec Aerospace is a newly created Joint Venture between Nidec and Embraer which intends to take a leading role in the Electrification of Aircrafts. From ideation to production you will work with a diverse and experienced team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization.

Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the primary HR representative for our Brazil operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Brazilian labor laws and union regulations supporting local employees and collaborating with the broader HR team across the Americas. The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to leaders fostering a culture of engagement performance and continuous development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with departmental and team leaders as well as employees.

  • Provide consultative support to managers on people management best practices performance and team development.

  • Partner with Training & Development to implement learning initiatives tailored to local team needs.

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics (e.g. turnover attendance satisfaction) to identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Manage local HR operations including employment contracts timekeeping and administrative tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor laws (CLT) union agreements and collective bargaining obligations.

  • Support organizational climate initiatives and contribute to improving employee engagement.

  • Promote and facilitate employee participation in corporate programs and initiatives.

  • Lead or support investigations and resolution of workplace conflicts including harassment prevention and response.

  • Implement and manage performance management tools (e.g. feedback systems evaluations).

  • Collaborate with HR counterparts in the U.S. and Mexico to align on global HR strategies and share best practices.

Technical Attributes and Experience

  • HRIS Proficiency:Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g. Jira Workday or similar platforms).

  • Data Analysis:Ability to analyze HR data and KPIs using Excel Power BI or similar tools to drive decision-making.

  • Labor Law Expertise:Deep understanding of Brazilian labor legislation (CLT) union dynamics and collective bargaining processes.

  • Project Management:Experience leading or supporting HR projects including policy implementation change management and organizational development.

  • Digital Communication Tools:Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams SharePoint Outlook) and virtual collaboration platforms.

  • Documentation & Reporting:Skilled in preparing HR reports employment documentation and compliance records.

  • Multinational Collaboration:Experience working in a matrixed or multinational environment with cross-border HR coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.

  • 5 years of HR experience preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Brazilian labor laws union relations and HR compliance.

  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and build relationships.

  • Proactive solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.

  • Fluent in Portuguese; proficiency in English required (Spanish a Plus)
