About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experiencedHVAC Supervisorto lead the delivery of HVAC services at Auckland Prison. This role is responsible for coordinating all HVAC-related maintenance and asset management activities across the site ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual KPIs. You will act as the escalation point for HVAC services manage subcontractors and support the wider facilities team in delivering high-quality service outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating HVAC services across the site.

  • Acting as the escalation point for HVAC-related issues.

  • Approving permits to work and ensuring HSQ compliance.

  • Conducting regular inspections and managing subcontractor activities.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and equipment.

  • Supporting emergency response and minor project work.

  • Collaborating with internal teams and keeping stakeholders informed.

About You:

  • HVAC or Refrigeration Engineering qualified with at least 5 years experience.

  • Commercial/industrial HVAC experience essential.

  • IQP Registered with Auckland Council or willing to become registered.

  • General understanding of HVAC electrical and plumbing systems.

  • Strong commitment to safety security and ethical conduct.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Able to work on an on-call roster.

  • Computer literate and confident with documentation.

  • Site Safe Working at Heights and EWP certifications beneficial (training provided).

  • Able to pass background checks and meet prison site eligibility requirements.

Environment Health and Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the EHS requirements and behaviours in a commercial environment. Good personal presentation and customer service skills are also essential as is a clean full drivers licence.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
