Job Description

Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Cleveland office. Candidates must possess a bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering and have zero to four years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated work well with others and have excellent writing organizational and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include:

    • Design civil projects that may include water mains sanitary sewers storm sewers roads bridges open drains pedestrian pathways parks utility/miscellaneous infrastructure improvement designs etc.
    • Perform evaluations and prepare design reports including opinion of construction costs
    • Develop construction plans using local and state standards
    • Review and interpret plans and specifications
    • Prepare/assist with technical specifications and permit submittals
    • Assist Project Managers with review of scope budget and schedule of new project tasks
    • Self-monitor task budgets and progress
    • Document design changes and communications
    • Conduct on-site inspections and field evaluations as needed for design purposes
    • Prepare project status reports technical memorandums and other written correspondence
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals and scope of work
    • Assist Project Managers as needed
    • Attend client public project and staff meetings
    • Maintain excellent client relations
    • Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

    • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Skills/Experience:

    • 0 to 4 years of related experience
