Reports to: General Manager
Status: Full Time Exempt
The Project Manager will be responsible for organizing planning and managing commercial construction door frame and hardware projects. This role involves building and maintaining positive long-lasting relationships with customers ensuring all project phases are executed with excellence from start to finish.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Complete assigned projects on time to specifications and with accuracy and efficiency
Outline project tasks and delegate accordingly
Conduct cost analysis and estimate project costs
Prepare and implement project budgets
Perform risk assessments and report identified risks to management including recommendations for mitigation or project termination if appropriate
Address questions concerns and complaints throughout the project lifecycle
Act as a liaison between the company customers and vendors
Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and support for promoting and selling new projects programs and systems
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state local industry contractual and company regulations and standards
Prepare detailed submittals and shop drawings using DFH software Business Central and/or Comsense
Possess a thorough understanding of the door and hardware industry including application of building codes
Handle revisions change orders and attend job site meetings as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
3 years experience in the Door Frame and Hardware Industry
Bachelors or Technical Degree in Business Engineering or a related field (Preferred)
DHI Certifications a plus
Experience working with Business Central and/or Comsense
Knowledge of door hardware hollow metal wood doors STC FSC and LEED
Familiarity with relevant building codes such as fire codes windstorm ADA life safety and commercial construction codes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Adobe and familiarity with CAD
Ability to read blueprints and specification documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Friendly respectful demeanor and a positive attitude in customer interactions
