What you will do

Role Overview:

The Material Handler will be responsible for activities involved with ensuring a safe and organized warehouse.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintenance safe work practices in a warehouse environment
  • Must be proficient with the use of various models of forklifts
  • Work with various shipping vendors to ship and offload materials
  • Receive materials delivered into facility including offloading with forklift pallet jack or by hand as required
  • Confirm materials received and match Bill of Lading or Packing Slip
  • Put away inventory into correct storage / bin locations
  • Maintain a clean warehouse by organizing materials and cleaning as necessary
  • Perform inventory counts as directed
  • Record serial numbers of certain items received and shipped and provide to the Inventory Coordinator
  • Monitor the removal of parts from the warehouse including the recording of parts removed and returned
  • Add or remove materials from outdoor storage containers
  • Use company vehicle to deliver parts to turbines as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work safely
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Trained on safe usage of a forklift
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips and confirm parts usage
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products. (Preferred)
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving Strong CommunicationCustomer/Partner Relationships and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility:Ability to stand for long periods and ability to frequently get in and out of a forklift
  • Lifting:Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing:Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
  • Safety:Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
