THE OPPORTUNITY
Join an elite team of master welders on a once-in-a-career project working directly with locomotives! This is not your typical welding job this is a prestigious assignment that demands excellence and offers unparalleled hands-on experience with heavy rail equipment.
- Duration: 8 weeks (firm commitment required)
- Compensation: $35 per hour for qualified candidates with certification
- Location: Mayfield Kentucky
- Start Date: Immediate
- Competitive per diem for meals and lodging provided with travel to client sites within a 50-mile radius.
Essential Requirements:
- Current AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
- ASME Section IX Pressure Vessel Certification
- Locomotive welding experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work with heavy gauge steel and specialized locomotive components
- Must commit to full 8-week duration - no exceptions
- Lead this exceptional team!
- Essential Requirements:
- All certifications required for welders PLUS
- Proven leadership experience in industrial/heavy equipment welding
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
- Railroad or locomotive experience highly valued
- Exceptional communication and team management skills
