Introduction:
As Software Engineer located in Singapore you will be part of GlobalFoundries Manufacturing Systems Engineering organization and will work in a highly execution-focused environment delivering the highest quality reliability and value for our internal customer this role you will support and later lead technical contributions in cross functional teams on automation initiatives supporting our global manufacturing objectives and our manufacturing systems vision. You will quickly assume responsibility for specific aspects in one of our most important and mission-critical manufacturing systems helping define and implement well understood and aligned manufacturing requirements. All in all you will make sure to enable our global manufacturing objectives through the development enhancement and maintenance of Manufacturing Systems in efficient collaboration with the users of these systems.
Your Job:
Assume ownership for selected manufacturing systems components particularly in the context of middleware backend and integration systems and secondary backup ownership for others
Analyze manufacturing requirements for system enhancement and propose technical solutions incl. design migration dependencies risks effort estimates
Execute enhancement projects within defined scope quality effort and time until deployment incl. data migration and user training
Support maintenance of assigned manufacturing systems with troubleshooting bug fixes performance and reliability
Support quality assurance and change management of assigned manufacturing systems
Constantly seeking and propose continuous improvement of manufacturing systems in support of the global manufacturing systems vision
Adhere and advocate adherence to global manufacturing systems delivery processes
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
Education You hold a Bachelor/Master or similar degree.
Years of Experience At least 3 years of working experience in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
Fluency in English Language written & verbal is required
Specifically professional skills in Java and specifically J2EE and XML related technologies are a must.
Thorough experience with enterprise application development on JBoss and Linux in high-availability environments is required as well as knowledge designing and implementing multi-tier applications and Service Oriented Architectures.
Preferred Qualifications:
You can prove technical knowledge utilizing state-of-the-art software technologies and methodologies such as object-oriented design and implementation in general.
Ideally (but not mandatory) solid skills in using Oracle DBMS and experience in workflow concepts and systems round up your profile.
You have gained thorough experience in requirements analysis and proposal development through building strong relationships with internal customers.
Beside proficient Software Engineering skills & functions you have a basic understanding and soft skills around project management influencing and convincing customers presentation skills and selling the value proposition of manufacturing systems and factory automation as a whole.
A result-driven personality with respect for people a loyal behavior and a positive and proactive attitude is desired.
