About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced medical professional for the role of Co-Academic Program Director (Clinical) within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. This senior academic leadership role provides clinical leadership and works in partnership with the Co-APD to manage all clinically related aspects of the program.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to governance of the MD Program leading clinical curriculum design and delivery overseeing clinical placements and ensuring best practices in clinical learning and teaching. As the lead medical practitioner representing the MD program in university and external settings you will play a critical role in shaping graduate outcomes and maintaining national medical education standards.
About you
You will hold unrestricted medical registration and postgraduate qualifications in a medical discipline along with a current or anticipated specialist appointment with primary employment at ISLHD. Proven leadership and administrative capabilities a strong commitment to ongoing professional practice and experience in curriculum delivery/development within a medical school or medical training environment is essential.
You will bring demonstrated leadership in medical education with strengths in team-building mentoring and collaboration. You will also have the ability to work effectively with both hospital-based and community-based medical practitioners as well as demonstrated participation or the capacity to participate in governance and service activity both within the university and professional associations.
