Job Description

Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Construction team to improve infrastructure in our Taylor office. Candidates must have bachelors degree in civil and/or construction engineering and a valid drivers license. MDOT experience is highly preferred. Individuals must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Interpret project plans and specifications
- Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities
- Conduct field or laboratory material test
- Maintain project files and record drawings
- Prepare construction reports
- Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections
- Review technical data for adherence with project requirements
- Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope budget and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client public project and staff meetings including client progress plan review preconstruction etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
Skills/Experience:
- 0 to 4 years of related experience
- A valid drivers license required
- MDOT experience is highly preferred
