SUMMARY:
The Application Analyst for Value-Based Care (VBC) supports clinical and population health applications with a focus on improving outcomes across the value-based program. This role is responsible for configuring and optimizing Epic Healthy Planet Compass Rose and associated tools to enable risk-adjusted care delivery population health management and performance-based reporting. The analyst collaborates closely with clinical business and informatics teams to ensure systems support care coordination quality improvement risk adjustment (e.g. HCC) and other strategic initiatives aligned with alternative payment models.
This position involves a mix of hands-on system configuration stakeholder engagement data analysis reporting support and testing all aimed at delivering data-driven insights and improving care delivery in the ambulatory setting.
This role is responsible for configuring and supporting Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose tools including registries care gaps dashboards and new population health data utilities such as the Assignment and Attribution Loader and the Data Ingestion and Normalization Engine (DINE). These tools enable accurate patient attribution streamlined data integration and standardized data for value-based care programs.
The analyst works closely with stakeholders to design efficient ambulatory workflows improve HCC and RAF documentation practices and support accurate risk scoring. A key part of the role involves developing and validating clinical and operational reports using Epics Cogito SlicerDicer and Reporting Workbench to drive data-informed decision-making.
The analyst also participates in system testing documentation and training efforts ensuring that application changes are well-supported technically sound and aligned with organizational goals in population health and value-based care.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training without lapse. Epic Ambulatory Certification and Epic Healthy Planet
Preferred: Epic Compass Rose Certification Cogito Certification and familiarity with clinical risk scoring methodologies and documentation practices (e.g. HCC RAF)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primarily office-based with a typical business setting. This role may involve collaboration in virtual settings and participation in team meetings.
Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.
Occasional standing walking and lifting of up to 15 pounds.
Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions.
Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing cloud-based tools and other online work-related activities.
A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional off-site visits to other company locations may be required.
