Job Description
Nalco Water an Ecolab Company is seeking a highly self-motivated and creative scientist or engineer to join our innovation efforts in cooling technologies for the data center industry. We are seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer/Chemist to join the APGC Water RD&E team who will be based in Singapore. In this role you will be responsible for developing and deploying new technologies and new products to serve customer and to enable business growth. We are seeking candidates who have a desire for collaboration and teamwork are self-motivated have good communication skills and are creative problem solvers.

What You Will Do:
- Lead/Collaborate in innovation development and deployment (chemistry digital and equipment) for Data Center customers:
- Provide technical insight on technical hurdles in innovation development
- Conduct both lab and field tests;
- Analyze the test data document and report-out the results in a clear and concise manner
- Develop the application guidelines for new products or technologies;
- Identify customer needs and gain 1st hand insights for innovation ideas for multi-year innovation roadmap building
- Develop potential 3rd party collaboration in technology development or assessment;
- Provide advanced technical support to sales and customer which includes but not limited to technical training technical exchange trouble-shooting etc.
- 25-50% travel required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D or M.S. in chemical chemical engineering mechanical engineering or related
- M.S. with > 5 years or Ph.D. with >3 years of technical or research experience
- Experience in Data Center industry
- Self-starter with great initiative and drive
- Ability to deliver complex information in an easy-to-understand format
- Creative problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in liquid cooling close loop cooling or thermal system design
- Chemistry understanding and experience
- Project management skill and experience
