We are currently recruiting two Medical Leads to play a key role in advancing our medical strategy and driving impactful outcomes for patients in Norway.
As Medical Lead you are at the heart of shaping the scientific narrative and elevating brand advocacy through impactful knowledge exchange. You play a strategic role in aligning Medical Affairs execution with broader business goals ensuring every scientific initiative contributes meaningfully to the success of the assigned medicine and/or Therapeutic Area(s).

Your influence extends across the product lifecycle where you build and nurture trusted relationships with Key Medical Experts and other high-impact stakeholders. Through proactive expert mapping insightful scientific dialogue and collaborative opportunities in evidence generation and data dissemination you position the brand as a leader in its field.
You lead the operationalization of evidence generation initiatives in close collaboration with Nordic Evidence Generation Leads ensuring scientific rigor and strategic alignment. You also guide early scientific discussions around pipeline assets and off-label topics always upholding the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Ultimately your work drives scientific engagement accelerates knowledge transfer and secures the assets place within the broader medical community.

This position reports to the Country Medical Director of Norway.



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to foster strong knowledge transfer and understanding among key Medical Experts for priority brands within the assigned Therapeutic Area(s). Leverage in-depth scientific expertise and utilize tailored engagement strategies to ensure Medical Experts have full knowledge and understanding of the latest clinical data and research. Employ strategic personalized interactions to not only communicate key medical information but also to cultivate advocacy by engaging Medical Experts in scientific discussions collaborative projects and evidence generation activities.
  • Operationalize integrated evidence generation plans in collaboration with the Nordic Evidence Generation Lead(s). Engage strategic Medical Experts to participate in and support evidence generation initiatives ensuring that data generated aligns with both local and global scientific and business objectives.
  • Lead and manage external discussions with healthcare professionals regarding pipeline assets ensuring that the scientific and strategic narrative is clear compelling and aligned with the companys objectives. Address off-label inquiries with the highest standards of scientific integrity and compliance serving as a trusted source of information.
  • Develop and execute the Nordic/Country Medical Affairs Strategy for the assigned Therapeutic Area(s). Ensure that this strategy is closely aligned with global objectives while also addressing local needs and market dynamics.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert within the Therapeutic Area(s) providing scientific leadership to cross-functional teams. Lead the dissemination of evidence and data to influence national guidelines and recommendations ensuring that the latest scientific insights are effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with Value& Access the Healthcare Manager and other cross-functional stakeholders and teams to develop a cohesive approach to brand advocacy medical engagement and market access strategies. Ensure alignment across functions to maximize the impact of medical activities.
  • Oversee medical projects throughout the entire product life cycle from development to post-marketing authorization. Manage budget and resources to ensure the timely and successful execution of these projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Life sciences Degree (preferred PHD or MD).
  • Min 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs from the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of and interest in the Norwegian healthcare system patient journeys and the competitive landscape.
  • Proficient English and Norwegian both written and spoken.
  • Strong strategic mindset with a focus on collaborative engagement both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Digitally and technologically savvy.
  • Project Management experience.
