Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Proficient in general office skills with a strong emphasis in data entry accounting and record-keeping/record management.
  3. Competency in basic accounting with a minimum of three (3) years experience in payroll functions preferred.
  4. Proficient use of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel calculator use.
  5. Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills required.
  6. Demonstrate ability to effectively solve problems and collect/analyze data numbers and facts.
  7. Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work with diverse groups.
  8. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$33163 CP4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review correct and maintain ancillary payroll records using an automated timekeeping system.
  2. Process leave (sick personal and vacation) requests and transfer to period totals report.
  3. Maintain accurate and up to date payroll files.
  4. Preparation of payroll adjustment report bi-weekly.
  5. Input schedules to automated timekeeping system.
  6. Aid in the confirmation and compensation of all incentive programs.
  7. Answer external and internal payroll inquiries concerning hourly employees.
  8. Maintain and monitor department attendance records on a weekly quarterly and yearly basis. Responsibilities include creating printing and distributing attendance memos and reports generating employee attendance reports (SAR) and running comprehensive attendance reports.
  9. Serve as backup by following the rotation schedule to support the front desk receptionist with duties such as greet assist and/or direct visitors customers and vendors in a courteous & professional manner answer phone lines.
  10. Follow district/department policies procedures and guidelines.
  11. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work with frequent interruptions maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
