Job Description

What You Can Expect

Our Quantitative Analyst II will sit inHouston TX and will support valuation and risk management systems for power production and retail risk management systems While reporting to the Trader of asset backed trading.

This role will sit within ENGIEs Supply and Energy Management (SEM) Business Unit. SEM is responsible for managing the portfolio of gas electricity congestion revenues rights and environmental products for ENGIE across geographies. SEM also manages market risks generated by ENGIE North Americas renewable and battery storage assets including wind farms solar farms and storage units. The Asset Backed Trading group is responsible for pricing and managing risks associated with power generation and retail business across the United States.

Daily you work to Enhance and maintain pricing and risk management frameworks for load related assets. You develop and implement models for asset valuation and structured product pricing. You support the creation of new risk management tools tailored to the operational characteristics of ENGIEs retail load portfolios. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure model transparency documentation and compliance with coding standards delivering tactical solutions and contributing to the official pricing library.

What Youll Bring

  • You will possess a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering Mathematics Physics Computer Science Finance or a related field
  • You will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a quantitative analytical or modeling role in the energy finance or technology sector
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages Python C# or R
  • Familiarity with financial modeling concepts such as stochastic pricing Greeks and Value-at-Risk (VaR)
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Postgres Oracle)
  • Exposure to collaborative software development practices (e.g. Git code reviews)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Interest in power markets and renewable energy technologies

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Compensation

Salary Range: $74950.00 $114770.00 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal state and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography experience education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
