Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian accounting standards.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process including variance analysis and performance tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards and regulations. Oversee Treasury & Payable Sections and ensure accurate reporting & cash management.

  • Ensure compliance & enforcement of company procedures related for Finance & Accounts.

Internal control by accounting & operations department.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Technical & Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance roles with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Previous experience in the logistics industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proven leadership abilities and team management experience.
