Senior SAP MDM Consultant

Your responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP MDM / Data Migration Consultant to lead and execute data management and migration initiatives in SAP S/4HANA and related landscapes. The role requires deep expertise in Master Data Management Data Migration Strategy Data Governance and Data Quality combined with hands-on experience in migration tools and methodologies. The consultant will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure high-quality consistent and reliable data across enterprise systems.

Your responsibilities:

Data Migration

• Lead end-to-end data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA and related systems
• Define and implement data migration strategies methodologies and cutover plans
• Extract transform and load (ETL) data using SAP tools (e.g. SAP Migration Cockpit LSMW BODS Syniti or other ETL tools)
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and map legacy data to SAP objects (e.g. Material Master Vendor Customer BOM Equipment Batches etc.)
• Define data validation rules reconciliation reports and migration sign-off criteria
• Support mock migrations testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and cutover execution
• Cooperation with other KPMG business and IT departments when delivering SAP solutions to internal and external KPMG global clients

Master Data Management (MDM)

• Define and implement data governance frameworks business rules and standards
• Collaborate with business data owners and stewards to maintain high-quality master data
• Design and optimize processes for Material Master Business Partner Finance Master Data EWM Master Data etc.
• Monitor data quality and perform root cause analysis of inconsistencies
• Provide recommendations for ongoing data maintenance and governance processes

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP MDM and Data Migration
• Mentor junior consultants and guide offshore/nearshore teams
• Engage with business stakeholders to drive data cleansing enrichment and harmonization
• Partner with functional leads (FI/CO MM SD PP EWM QM etc.) to align data requirements with business processes

What you bring in:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
• SAP certifications in Data Migration MDG or S/4HANA preferred
• ITIL or Data Governance-related certifications are a plus
• 6 years of experience in SAP Data Migration and Master Data Management
• Proven track record in at least 23 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration projects
• Strong expertise in SAP data objects (Material Master Business Partner Finance Master Data BOM Routings etc.)
• Hands-on experience with SAP Data Migration Cockpit SAP BODS Syniti (formerly DSP) LSMW or other ETL tools
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks data quality tools and MDM practices
• Excellent understanding of integration between SAP modules (MM SD FI CO PP QM EWM)
• Strong SQL data profiling and data validation skills
• Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries (GxP FDA EMA compliance)
• Familiarity with MDG (SAP Master Data Governance)
• Knowledge of data archiving and decommissioning legacy systems
• Agile/SAFe methodology experience
