What We Do
Unreal projects have been leading the pack of real-time entertainment with our constantly growing team of engineering experts. Were always improving on the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.
What Youll Do
The Fortnite Creative Team is bringing the entire toolset of Unreal Engine and the Unreal Editor to developers and creators to make and publish experiences within Fortnite. As part of this team you will implement gameplay systems APIs and tools to empower Fortnite creators to build the next generation of amazing gameplay experiences!
In this role you will
- Work closely with art design and our partners to design implement and deliver technical gameplay features and systems
- Solve technical challenges and maintain gameplay features and systems that underpin Unreal Editor for Fortnite and Fortnite Creative
- Write robust understandable and maintainable code and systems
- Diagnose and fix gameplay memory performance networking and scalability issues
- Distill feature requests into meaningful actionable work items
- Mentor others to support their technical and professional growth
What were looking for
- You are self-motivated solutions-focused and own the outcome
- Strong C skills and software engineering principles
- 5 years of experience including experience with designing and implementing scalable robust systems on AAA games or game engine technology
- Ability to pivot to new technologies features and assignments as necessary to meet team and company goals
- A keen analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
