Job Description

As a Preschool Assistant Teacher at Acelero Learning you will play a vital role in shaping the foundational experiences of children ages 3 to 5 within our Head Start program. This position offers a unique opportunity to foster school readiness by delivering high-quality developmentally appropriate instruction in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will collaborate closely with an Preschool Teacher families and interdisciplinary team members to support the growth of each childacademically socially and emotionally. Your Role:

As a Preschool Teacher you will nurture responsive teacher-child relationships through the CLASS framework cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment and deliver age-appropriate standards-aligned instruction. You will monitor developmental progress through ongoing assessments tailor learning experiences to support the needs of all children and actively engage families as collaborative partners in their childs growth. Youll also participate in continuous professional development and contribute to a team culture focused on reflection learning and improvement.

What Youll Do:

  • Use the CLASS framework to promote high-quality teacher-child interactions that support emotional social and cognitive development.

  • Design and maintain a safe organized and inclusive classroom that encourages exploration discovery and learning.

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum goals to support school readiness.

  • Conduct ongoing child assessments to individualize instruction and track developmental progress across all learning domains.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children including those with special needs dual language learners and varying developmental levels are supported.

  • Build strong respectful relationships with families to support their childs learning and development both at school and at home.

  • Actively participate in ongoing training coaching and reflective practices and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

  • A deep commitment to working with young children and supporting their social emotional and academic growth in an inclusive nurturing environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with children families and team members.

  • A High school diploma or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience teaching preschool-aged children with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.

  • team-oriented mindset with a willingness to work closely with co-teachers family members and support staff to drive positive outcomes.
