The Business Development Representative will focus on identifying new opportunities expanding market share and providing exceptional service to clients in the commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in commercial HVAC plumbing and electrical markets
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and decision-makers
- Provide consultative technical sales support to help clients select appropriate solutions
- Develop and present proposals negotiate pricing and terms and close deals
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Track activity and maintain accurate records using CRM and sales reporting tools
- Monitor competitor activity and contribute to strategic planning sessions
Key Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales preferably within the commercial mechanical industry
- Proven success in business development lead generation and closing new business
- Knowledge of HVAC plumbing and/or electrical systems
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally to customer sites events and meetings
- Flexible availability including evenings or weekends if needed for business development efforts
