Plasmidsaurus is hiring a Senior Product Manager to help manage our flagship plasmid sequencing portfolio. This is a dream role for someone looking to improve and accelerate molecular biology research. Youll be instrumental in helping us unleash the next wave of our groundbreaking sequencing services as well as in building and defining how Product functions at Plasmidsaurus. This role will serve as the glue between R&D Sales Marketing Engineering and Operations and will ensure that we continue to deliver the kind of game-changing products our customers have come to expect from us.
What Youll Do
Understand the market. Engage with customers uncover unmet needs analyze trends track competitors and serve as the internal voice of the customer.
Own product strategy. Define roadmaps conduct market research build business cases and collaborate across teams to drive business impact.
Build amazing things. Partner with R&D to manage the product lifecycle from concept through beta testing to commercial launch.
Drive growth. Advance strategies to generate revenue from existing services.
Make our value clear. Work with Product Marketing to develop go-to-market plans campaigns and sales enablement tools that build awareness generate leads and empower the Sales team.
Help shape the Product Management function. Build frameworks processes and resources that improve team efficiency.
What Youll Bring to the Team
Deep knowledge of modern cloning techniques including Gibson assembly Golden Gate and Gateway cloning and gene synthesis approaches.
Extensive experience with molecular biology techniques (plasmid/primer design PCR transformation nucleic acid extraction) analysis tools (SnapGene Benchling ApE Geneious) and functional genomics experimental designs such as loss- and gain-of-function screens.
A minimum of 5 years experience launching products or services that deliver clear customer value including managing the full workflow from sample preparation through data analysis.
Proven ability to drive revenue from established products through pricing positioning and promotional strategies
Experience influencing and collaborating effectively with customers and internal teams to drive successful outcomes.
Expertise in building product roadmaps and managing the full product lifecycle.
Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on customer impact.
Advanced degree in molecular biology genetics or related field (PhD preferred)
Outstanding leadership teamwork and communication skills.
Customer Insights: Lead research efforts to understand customer segmentation applications motivations behaviors and unmet needs providing insights that guide product strategy and prioritization.
Market Impact: Implement strategic pricing positioning and promotional initiatives to maximize revenue and market share for on-market products.
Product Realization: Launch at least one new product managing the product lifecycle from concept through launch.
Customer-Led Innovation: Implement new features on existing services that promote satisfaction loyalty and long-term engagement.
Product Roadmap: Build and own a product roadmap in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Go-to-Market Enablement: Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies that drive awareness and customer adoption and equip the Sales team for success.
