Job Description

The Concur Travel & Expense Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the T&E function ensuring compliance with corporate travel and expense policies and optimizing the use of SAP Concur. This role involves managing a team of T&E specialists supporting end-users driving process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely expense reporting and reimbursement.

Position Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead mentor and develop a team of T&E specialists to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Allocate tasks monitor workloads and ensure timely processing of expense reports and travel requests.
  • Conduct regular team meetings performance reviews and training sessions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance HR Procurement and other departments to align T&E processes with organizational goals.
  • Provide training and support to employees and managers on T&E policies and system usage.
  • Prepare and present reports and insights to senior leadership.

System Administration & Optimization

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Concur including configuration testing and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with IT and Concur Support to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Enforce adherence to corporate travel and expense policies.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to support audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend and implement policy updates based on industry best practices and business needs.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage the end-to-end T&E process using SAP Concur including expense report auditing policy compliance and reimbursement.
  • Ensure timely resolution of employee inquiries and escalations related to travel and expenses. Monitor
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 to 3 year(s) working experience in Finance or Procurement with working experience related to expense report audit reconciliation and Financial reporting and with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Bachelors degree concentrating in Accounting or Finance; CPA is an advantage
  • Certificate in Procurement is an asset.
  • Willing to work on a midshaft.
  • Familiarity with large scale company systems database and reporting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented attitude
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with an aptitude to make the right decision on competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency with MS excel Word Powerpoint etc.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and problem-solving capability
  • Attentive to details and quality well-organized innovative and result driven
  • Self-starter with high level of initiative
  • Exercises good judgment highly analytical
  • Operates in a professional and ethical manner with customers and vendors
