Job Description

Avista is a progressive organisation providing a wide range of services including Day Residential and Respite supports to both Children and Adults in various locations across 3 Regions. The organisation is looking for Candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families in a Person Centred Community Based Socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality best practice and research.

STAFF NURSE

Childrens SERVICES DUBLIN.

(Sancta maria Respite/dec/preschool)

PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (37.5 Hours Per Week)

TEMPORARY FULL-TIME CONTRACT (37.5 Hours Per Week) &

RELIEF CONTRACT

Salary: * (lsi)

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Essential:

Have up to date NMBI Registration.

Experience of supporting individuals with complex needs ranging from behavioural support needs to high nursing needs.

Understanding of the role as a Mandated person and responsibilities under Childrens First Legislation.

Desirable:

Intellectual Disability Nurse Registration (RNID) other disciplines will be considered with experience of children with intellectual disability.

Full clean Irish manual driving licence.

Knowledge of a person centred planning and HIQA guidelines.

To adopt a holistic and person centre approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best live and develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.

*Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework as set out in the job description.
