You have direct experience working with government and the policy community and you know how to link those conversations to strategic business outcomes.

Youre equally comfortable digging into the fine detail of a policy paper and stepping back to spot broader patterns and risks. You can connect political and regulatory developments to real-world business decisionsand explain them clearly and crisply to clients.

Youre a strong writer who brings structure to ambiguity. You are equally comfortable presenting your ideas and positions to senior executive leaders. You have a passion for unpacking complex ideas and making them accessible and actionable. You value research conversations and relationships equally as sources of insight.

About the Role

Associates at Brunswick are trusted advisors in the making. Youll work side-by-side with senior colleagues on high-impact matters that sit at the intersection of business politics and society.

Youll bring strong research and analytical skills to unpack political and policy shifts provide clear written analysis and help turn complex issues into actionable strategies. Whether preparing briefings mapping stakeholder landscapes or supporting engagement with government and policy audiences youll help clients navigate an increasingly dynamic environment.

Youll manage workflows contribute to strategy development and collaborate across practices and regions. Youll play a key role in ensuring work is delivered with precision and impact while building trusted relationships with colleagues clients and stakeholders.

What Were Looking For

  • Typically six-to-ten years of experience in public affairs policy analysis government journalism or corporate advisory.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Chinas political and policymaking environment.
  • Direct experience engaging with Chinese government stakeholders is a critical asset.
  • Direct experience building programs that enable sustained engagement with stakeholders and demonstrate a companys values is an asset.
  • Experience in Chinas antitrust environment an asset.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Ability to translate complex policy issues into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborative mindset and calmness under pressure.
  • A proactive thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to your work.
  • A network across government business media or academia that enriches insight and execution (preferred).
