Job Description

Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our growing Finance team. This role will support two key sub-functions: Finance Operations and Controllership covering a broad range of responsibilities such as journal entries bank reconciliations tax compliance financial reporting budgeting forecasting P&L analysis and revenue accounting.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As part of the finance operations sub-department Finance Associate will provide critical support to ensure the companys financial transactions compliance obligations and month-end processes are handled accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include:

Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and file various tax returns including Value-Added Tax (VAT) corporate income tax and withholding taxes. Ensure accurate calculation proper documentation and timely submission in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulatory deadlines. Assist with tax reconciliations and respond to queries from tax authorities when necessary.
Month-End Closing Activities: Support the monthly financial close by preparing reconciliations booking accruals reclassifying transactions and validating financial data. Ensure accurate cut-off and completeness of entries to support timely financial reporting.
Statutory Filings & Regulatory Compliance: Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure timely submissions to regulatory bodies. Stay up to date with local financial and tax regulations to maintain compliance.
Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers schedules and reconciliations. Ensure documentation is organized and readily available for review and audits.
Policy & Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal financial policies accounting standards (e.g. IFRS or local GAAP) and financial governance frameworks. Proactively flag non-compliance issues and assist in resolution and remediation efforts.


Controllership Support:
The Finance Associate will also provide key support to the Controllership function contributing to financial planning analysis and reporting activities that drive strategic decision-making and ensure financial integrity.

Profit & Loss (P&L) Analysis: Prepare and maintain accounts payable (AP) and expense schedules perform variance analysis to explain key cost drivers and coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate supporting data. Assist in month-end activities including accruals cost reclassification and validation of expenses for completeness and accuracy.
Journal Entry & Revenue Accounting: Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue accruals and intercompany transactions ensuring compliance with internal deadlines and reporting standards. Support accurate revenue recognition by validating inputs from contracts and operational data. Collaborate with relevant teams to secure approvals for adjustments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The ideal candidate is analytical highly organized and capable of managing various finance tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness. This role offers exposure to both operational finance and strategic financial management.

Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
Min 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and collaborate across functions.
Proactive problem solver and highly committed at work delivery.
