Role Overview:
Join our team as a Senior Tax Accountant responsible for enforcing local statutory and US GAAP rules for Colgate-Palmolive Hungary Kft. You will work closely with the Colgate Shared Service Center and external tax service providers to ensure compliance and strategic tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly/quarterly tax and accounting activities including accruals payroll and intercompany billings.
- Lead tax compliance audits and planning projects.
- Prepare statutory financials tax reports and US GAAP reconciliations.
- Oversee corporate reporting tax payment proposals and fixed asset tasks.
- Monitor tax law changes and ensure the implementation of global policies.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with local and hub colleagues.
- Support business planning initiatives and provide guidance on tax consequences.
- Perform U.S. SOX internal control tests and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant or in training.
- University/Masters degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/Tax with at least 1 year in a commercial company.
- Team-oriented with strong analytical and remote management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems English and Hungarian.
Skills Needed:
- Inquisitive and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Comfortable working in a corporate environment and adaptable to company goals.
