Job Goal: The Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive health services in accordance with state law and regulations by minimizing each students absence by creating a climate of health and well-being in the schools. The LPN will work with students the Randolph school community and the Randolph Dept. of Public Health to provide and promote health and wellness services and Practical Nurse ResponsibilitiesProvide temporary and emergency care to ill or injured studentsEvaluates the students total health and development status through comprehensive health assessmentsDispenses monitors and records all students medications for acute and chronic health problems consults with physician and parent regarding recommendation for medication adjustments or changes when neededDetermines and maintains health clinic inventory of equipment and supplies per health services guidelinesPromotes a positive image of school district and positive public relations at all timesConducts school programs in accordance with state requirementsMaintains daily log of pertinent student health informationAssists with health and safety in-service and education programsCompletes accident reports of injuries for Principal and SuperintendentWorks collaboratively and closely with all school nurses pertaining to school healthMay assist in the other school health activities including but not limited to registration screening field trips and athletic assessments as determined by school nurses and the Student Services CoordinatorTerms: per Unit D Collective bargaining agreementPaid for 7 hours per day 192 days per year$50.02 per gour
